What do you enjoy about your role at CFG Law?
I enjoy the responsibility and opportunity given to deal with my own cases and speak with clients on a daily basis. I take great satisfaction in helping people and knowing that I have made a difference; my role at CFG Law fulfils that, and more. I also enjoy being given the opportunity to assist Solicitors and Associates on higher value cases, which continually broadens my experience. I truly enjoy working in the Catastrophic Injury Department and have developed a particular interest in brain injuries.
How have CFG Law supported you in your career aspirations?
CFG Law have always supported me immensely, ever since I joined on work experience back in December 2013 until now as a trainee legal executive (and ongoing). The management of CFG Law have always believed in me and offered support along the journey. I started with no legal qualification and was given the opportunity to stay on. I took up a role in the New Client Team which was as equally challenging as it was rewarding. I then moved to the serious injury department with a focus more on serious injuries.
My work became less about taking new client instructions and I was given the opportunity and freedom to widen my knowledge base and workload. I recently expressed a desire to commit to Personal Injury Law and Practice. CFG Law has very kindly offered to sponsor my studies which I commenced in September 2017. I could not have been supported more in my career aspirations and I am truly thankful to CFG Law for believing in me.
What does the future hold for you?
As previously discussed, I am currently studying to obtain legal qualifications (CILEx) with the intention of qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive and continue my career in personal injury law at CFG Law.
How would you describe the culture at CFG Law?
The culture is very client focused putting them right at the heart of what we do. The work environment is very friendly and professional. During my time at CFG Law, I have made many friends and continue to do so, be it around the office or on social events organised by the social committee.
